I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Todd Rundgren's "A Capella" record,
on which _every_ instrumental sound is a sampled vocal bit (so you get lots
of AON-style "dum de dum dum dum" basslines and such.) Interesting
as a proof of concept, a bit less so as a record (though the cut
"Blue Orpheus" is awesome).
